The big idea

How do you read a home listing?

Every listing line is a question.

As-is usually means the seller won't make repairs.
You can still inspect the home.

A newer roof and repair notes are questions for your agent too.

See it in an example

Example

A made-up listing. Example.

Selling as-is → Can I still inspect it?

New roof, 2021 (Example) → Is there paperwork?

Repair note: gutters fixed → Who did the work?

Example only. Ask your agent each one.
