About this home

If you’ve ever dreamed of sipping coffee while overlooking the entire River Market scene—City Market, Bond Bridge, CPKC Stadium, and beyond—this 4th-floor perch has your name all over it. Housed in the Riverbend Lofts, once the William Volker Furniture Company headquarters, this 1880 brick, timber, and concrete beauty has been reimagined as one of the River Market’s most coveted addresses. Add in the fact that you’re just steps from the streetcar line (hello, Plaza weekends without parking drama), and you’ll wonder why you didn’t move here sooner. Inside, this 2-bed, 2-bath stunner nails the “urban loft” vibe with soaring wood beams, exposed brick, and just the right amount of character. Both bedrooms have their own ensuite bathrooms (no roommate awkwardness here), and in-unit laundry means you can finally retire that roll of quarters. The kitchen checks every box: stainless steel appliances, plenty of cabinets, bonus counter space, and an open layout that flows right into the living room—complete with a custom built-in that’s equal parts stylish and functional. Other perks? This loft includes a dedicated parking spot (rare in River Market and worth bragging about), plus access to building amenities that make city living even sweeter. Work up a sweat in the fitness room (BYO trainer), host friends and family in the rentable club room, or stash your extras in secure storage so your loft stays looking sleek. And when you’re ready to explore, you’re surrounded by coffee shops, restaurants, and the buzz of River Market—all just an elevator ride away. And don’t forget about your private view—it’s like waking up to a new piece of art every morning, guaranteed to spark a little envy whenever friends drop by. Loft living doesn’t get more Kansas City cool than this. Ready to claim your corner of this historic neighborhood?
