About this home

I proudly present a great piece of property for a country homestead. 185 acres (more or less) gives you plenty of room to roam and yet, it's still not too much to manage. County road 1900 frontage is a good build site make it easy to see where your home could be built. (The entrance is where there use to be the old homestead) Not to mention, the views off your back porch looking out in the distance would make the perfect spot to sit in a rocking chair at the end of the day. With 185 acres, there is 3 ponds, cross fenced land, 30 acres of hay meadow, utilities available, and hunting! We have seen good whitetail bucks in this area! Nice huge pond at the entrance of the property makes it easy to set your homesite wherever you like and leave the rest of the small trees to grow for privacy. There are woods and cedar trees in the back of the land for the young'uns to explore the wildlife. The location is still convenient though, just a few minutes off HWY 75 outside Independence. Not far from the 857-acre Elk City fishing lake that's adjacent to the 12,000-acre Elk City Wildlife area. 2-hour drive to Wichita, Kansas. 1/8 of the mineral rights will transfer to the buyer. There is 4 tracts of property, Working on getting a ariel view on how the land lays Make plans to see this wonderful site to live on.
